I think this cat looks sort of owl-like with his big eyes-- especially if you cover up the ears. This isn't my favorite painting so far, but I'm very happy with the black I was able to mix myself for the eyes. I decided to try a different composition and show more of the cat's body this time, instead of just the face.
As big and deep as they are... I'd say 'the eyes have it'
