Monday

For this painting, I had intended to try to paint a gray cat.  I have achieved very nice grays by mixing ultramarine blue and burnt sienna, but I think the key is "mixing".  In this painting I wanted them to mix on the paper.  In some areas they did make beautiful grays.  I didn't seem to be able to stop with this painting and just wanted to paint it a little more and a little more.

Richard says the cat looks sad.  Andy says it looks drunk.  I think this cat's name is "Monday".
